About AVHS

PREAMBLE:

India's National Language Hindi is the soul of our culture, the life line of our national unity and the third major language of the world. Indians live around the world with pride and honor.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

  1. To encourage strong close communication among Indians living abroad through the media of Hindi seminars, publications and KaviSammelans (Poets Gathering) etc.
  2. To up hold and promote the Humanitarian Ideals ingrained in our culture and Hindi Literature.
  3. To encourage Indians to create and preserve Hindi atmosphere in their homes In daily family conversation, thereby promoting learning among youngsters to Induce them to lead their lives accordingly.
  4. To generate enthusiasm in Indians to learn, teach and understand Hindi and its literature.
  5. To bring unity among all Indians speaking different sister languages of Hindi, through holding joint seminars and publishing translations.

CULTURAL AND LITERARY ACTIVITIES:

  1. Publication of a quarterly Hindi periodical SAURABH.
  2. Publication of Hindi Books.

FUTURE PLANS:

  1. To build Hindi Bhavan In New York, having guest rooms, a meeting hall and a library.
  2. To organize Kavi Sammelans in all states of USA Canada and other parts of the world every year by inviting renowned poets from India.
  3. To frequently host and organize local, continental and world Hindi conferences In coordination with other organizations.
  4. To offer felictations, plaques and awards to Hind Poets, Writers and Journalists to honor their outstanding works.
  5. To extend help to educational, social and cultural institutes for teaching and promoting Hindi.
  6. To establish an Umbrella organization by uniting ail Hindi Associations currently operating around the world.
  7. To publish or help publish collections of Poems, Dramas, Stories and articles etc. of overseas Hindi writers.
